Diablo IV Digital Fashion Show

I am pleased to present my team's design for Otis College's Digital Media and Fashion Design collaboration with Blizzard Entertainment! In this interdisciplinary class, lead by Chris Eckardt on the Digital Media side, we created a CG Met Gala-themed fashion show based on Blizzard's Diablo IV.

Ran Tian and I were inspired by Inarius, the rogue angel. Ran took on the garment design and Marvelous Designer simulation, and I created the rest primarily in Maya - which was an excellent way to practice my full 3D environmental design and production skillset: concepting, modeling, texturing, lighting, animation (Maya cloth simulation and MD alembic import), cinematic capture, compositing, and editing. I even got to relive my past as a makeup artist through digitally painting our character's makeup texture!

Thank you so much, Chris Eckardt! I'm amazed at what I have been able to create through your guidance and mentorship! Gratitude to Mia Portnoy for her role as production coordinator. Thanks to Ran Tian for the excellent talent and teamwork! And a final big thanks our Blizzard Entertainment mentors: Hanna Jun Xia, Timothy McGrath, David Lomeli, and Marc Mejia!
